Time and experience has taught me that there truly is no reason to overcomplicate a project, or a website for that matter. I am well versed in multiple media and work heavily with symbolism, abstraction, and surrealism expressed through simple forms. Not all my media is presented here. (Over-complication is not a good thing, right?)
"Every work of art is the child of its age and, in many cases, the mother of our emotions." - Wassily Kandinsky
Cacti. The fear of my childhood. The focus of hipster consumerist trends. The symbol of my spiritual life.
This is the works I do to make my daily funk into funk. Bright colors are a great way to elevate any funky day.
All of these graphics are vectorized linocuts of original linocuts I have hand carved. Each piece has it's origin as a way to make my talent and passion into a gift for other on their birthdays, graduations, canonizations, or pesky days.
This are the test pieces for a style I am working on. Too often I see that there is just really bad religious art and not enough badass religious art. Experimentation and exploration.
These pieces don't fit into any other category. So, instead of tossing them out back, I corralled them into their own page.
